Orsi Parkanyi

Orsi Parkanyi is founder and CEO of Women as Entrepreneurs, Australia's number one network for women entrepreneurs, start-up women and female business owners changing the game of business. Orsi is passionate about social entrepreneurship, diversity, gender equality and women entrepreneurs to be noticed and make a difference. Orsi regularly mentors and speaks at start-up events and is asked to comment on female entrepreneurship and diversity related topics on radio and in several online and offline publications. Orsi is a UTS Alumni.

Matthew Ho

Matthew Ho is one of the founders of Native Tongue Apps, a mobile app design and development agency. Over the past two years, he has developed 12 apps. His background is as a digital producer. Matthew previously worked for Next Digital, airbnb and Deloitte.

He is passionate about the marketing and design of mobile apps and is a Corona SDK ambassador (which is a mobile development platform for iPhone and Android). Matthew also enjoys blogging, occasionally guest writing for Tech In Asia about Australian startups as well as his own blog You can also find Matthew on twitter.

Christopher G. Pearsall

Director of Pearsall Tatham McGrath Pty Ltd, Principal at Cartesian Capital.

Chris has been the driving force in a number of start-up companies both within and outside the Information Technology sector. From January 1996 to May 2002, Chris lived in the USA working as an investment banker for a boutique firm specialising in ICT clients. In 1994 he co-authored a book on selling computer software internationally. Chris has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from Macquarie University in Sydney and a certificate in Information Technology Management from Melbourne University. He also undertook an MBA program in Technology Management at the University of Phoenix (USA). Chris returned to Australia and joined Newport Capital Group (an Investment Banking and Venture Capital group), the executive team at IntraPower Group Pty Ltd (a telecommunications services provider) and Sydney Capital Partners.

Amit Jaiswal

Amit Jaiswal is the CEO and founder of Foogi. He holds a degree in Computer Systems Engineering which he received from the University of Technology, Sydney. Before that he completed his High School Certificate at James Ruse Agricultural High school.

Amit has over 10 years of Business Analysis and development experience in various industries including finance, agriculture, market research, commercial real estate, research and the non-profit sector.

After a six month holiday in South America where he climbed glaciers and jumped off 14 metre high waterfalls, Amit decided to leave the workforce and begin his own start-up creating mobile apps which solve inefficiencies in the enterprise workspace.

Amit loves working in start-ups, learning, comics, movies, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, kung-fu, travelling, food, helping people and making friends.

Sean Marshall

Sean Marshall is an entrepreneur with a focus on innovation and technology. He is the Managing Director at StartNest, a startup "incubator" that provides technology startups with office space, mentors, investors and partners.

He is also the Director of Business Development at Intersective, an education company that delivers fun, challenging and unique work-integrated learning experiences for university students. Intersective’s programs are designed to engage and inspire students and link them with potential future employers.

One such program is the Deloitte FASTRACK Innovation challenge, which allows students to gain hands-on experience in defining problems, developing ideas and pitching them to Executive Partners.

Sean has coached thousands of budding entrepreneurs on building startups, and also works with corporates to engage with the startup community and empower their own staff to build startups.

Holly Cardew

Holly has a background in graphic design and online marketing. She has worked with small businesses in regional Australia to build their online presence. More recently Holly launched her startup, Pixc which helps businesses improve the way their products are displayed online (primarily for eCommerce) using professional image editing techniques.

Clive Lam

Clive Lam is currently working at eBay Australia as a Senior Product Manager, with a focus on driving retail innovations through local eBay sites. Prior to joining eBay, Clive spent over 4 years heading up a web consulting practice working with charities and not-for-profits, and most recently as a product manager for StyleTread - a start up eCommerce shoe retailer.

Alwin Chin

Alwin is the founder of Stampii, a mobile & tablet loyalty platform, and also runs Winnergenic Pty Ltd, a mobile apps and eCommerce consulting company. He has over 10 years of software development and management experience having worked for notable companies such Telstra Bigpond, Macquarie Bank, NBN and News Corp.

Alwin is also an Agilista advocating methodologies like Scrum, XP and KANBAN - bringing teams together for a common good. He also tutors Software Development Project, Java, PHP and ruby at UTS.

John Kueh

John is the product manager of Accruto, a social recruitment website offering employers the opportunity to post job adverts and search a vast database of candidate resumes. The business developed in conjunction with Pollenizer. John has a start-up background, having launched an online food ordering platform in Singapore. His professional experience includes web development and design.

Rowan Kunz

Rowan is a leading entrepreneur in the education sector and a sought-after speaker, facilitator, and thought leader on developing academic excellence and peak performance in young people.

He is the Chief Learning Architect at myEd Online, an organisation working to change the way students of all ages learn by transforming traditional curriculum and classroom content into engaging, interactive digital courses. The courses are delivered through an e-learning platform and are accessible through web, smartphones and tablets. Rowan is also CEO of Art of Smart Education, an award winning provider of academic coaching and mentoring for high school students. Additionally he runs Study TV, an online video library and TV show featuring interviews with Australia's top students.

In 2009 Rowan developed Uni Australia, an online platform providing reviews, rankings and ratings on Australian universities and courses which was acquired in 2012. In 2011 Rowan was named as one of Anthill Magazine's '30 Under 30 Entrepreneurs' and was also selected by the Foundation of Young Australians as one of fourteen 'Young Social Pioneers' for his work with young people. In 2012, he was recognised as one of Australia's 'Young Gun Entrepreneurs' by Dynamic Business Magazine. He is the author of 'Secrets of HSC Success Revealed'.

Jonathan Peacock

Jonathan (Jono) is the CEO of WooBoard, a Pollenizer portfolio company.

In his last year of uni, he launched and sold an ecommerce site, which had gross revenue of $0.5M in it\'s first year.

He has also founded Zibbet, an online marketplace with over 40,000 members, and counting.

Julien Marchand

Having acquired an MBA in Management from Queens University, NC, USA, Julien is currently teaching in the MBA program offered at University of Technology Sydney while concurrently completing his PhD in Entrepreneurship. His professional experience includes: Change Management consultant for Capgemini in France, Entrepreneur in Mobility applications, Innovation consultant for various SMEs and Governments, and Business Developer Manager in innovation for Telstra Enterprise and Government.

Julien is passionate about leveraging his practical experience to help student entrepreneurs and humbly further the research on student entrepreneurship. His goal is to come out with an output that will foster student entrepreneurship.
